Battle Nereus FTW!!!
I'm not going to bother to post the fit on this bad boy but you can check out the idea for this via this killmail:
https://zkillboard.com/kill/52184376/
This clever dude in Jita is challenging Frigs/Dessys to fight him in a battle Nereus. The thing has a nasty tank, near limitless cap chargers, and solid repping power. Obviously, trying to do a combat roam in this ship would not end well. But solo PVP when you can somewhat control who you fight, it's a pretty fun experiment. I honestly don't know if I'll bother to try something like this but part of me wants to bring a maxed out booster and a head full of slaves to a fight with this ship just to see it brick tank something. Anyway, I thought this one was pretty interesting.

Note: I grabbed this little gem from FactionWarfare.com.
I don't normally fly ships this big but I do love fighting a whole fleet and still smashing them with one super gorgeous ship. This ship is pretty easy to fly - the tough part is finding a fight that you can actually take (and getting away from fights you don't want - this thing is super slow). The fact that you're hull tanked makes baiting so very easy. You melt in shields and armor but my god you have so much hull it just lasts and lasts as you alpha frigs off the field. It also doesn't hurt that you have a neut for the bigger stuff and your tank is pretty much completely passive in case there are counter-neuts on the field...

Well if you want to kite in a frig you need look no further than this fit. Straight from the kitey king of kiters himself this fit is fast, projects damage great to point range, and is agile as all hell. The only problem? You actually have to know how to kite... This is more difficult than it sounds.
If you get scram webbed by someone you're pretty much screwed.Yeah, ok, you have a ancillary armor repper to buy you some time - but let's be honest - this thing is a glass cannon. Speed is life, manual pilot or die. If you actually put in the time to learn this ship and learn how to kite you'll be a nightmare to anything slower than you (including masses of frigs).
Check out this video if you want to see this Slicer flown by the master:

GOD DAMN I love the Dram. Dual prop it and it is just obnoxious to pin down. You can't out run it (easily, anyway) in even kitey ships because that MWD is beast before boosts and drugs. You can't really scram web it because the AB is so damn fast you just TROLOLOL in any tackler's face. Couple that with above average DPS for a frigate and it's just a thing of beauty.
The hardest part about flying this ship is trying to keep its beastly speed in check. I can't tell you how many people I've scram/webbed only to slingshot my big dumb self way beyond them. Speed control is the name of the game. (And being crazy rich, expensive hull!)

This Harpy isn't exactly interesting for a solo roamer - but it is nasty in a fleet of larger DPS ships. The thing I like about this fit is it has a nice resist profile and plenty of EHP to survive a few rounds of DPS while the rest of your fleet arrives to bail you out. Traveling a respectable 2.2k with the MWD pre-boosts, this Harpy is a nice heavy tackle alternative to some of the more popular interceptors (who are normally not tanky and get primaried by kite fleets).
Let's not for get that Harpies can do a ton of damage, especially when compared to almost any interceptor....

On the massive amount of new ships entering EVE...
So this isn't exactly a fitting but more of a random thought: CCP is adding tons of new ship types into the game... faction frigs, new logi, command destroyers... which is great!
The problem is they're doing it ALL AT ONCE. Remember how well the balancing act did for T3 Destroyers? What a MESS and I still don't think that class of ship is balanced either internally or with other ship classes. What makes CCP think that they can introduce new classes of ships and the ship types all at the same time and get the balance even CLOSE to right on the first pass?
I suspect there will be many imbalances and advantageous fits to be had here. Stay tuned as I find out how to game CCPs over enthusiasm to get dank frags. :-)

This is one tough nugget to crack. Decent DPS, Really nice tank. I think in frigate PVP we're looking at a very strong opponent. Obviously if you're fighting a drone boat or something range you're screwed but anything that brawls is gonna find this a tough fight. I will likely fit one of these up my next EVE session and see what kills I can bag.
